Summer Sunsets by Nitroxyl Summer Sunsets by Nitroxyl
By combining a ton of different skins I've made a very lax and minimalist summer-themed desktop.

Wallpaper is included in the .RMSKIN file.

I used RocketDock paired with Windows Phone icons, and used Taskbar Eliminator to achieve that "Mac" feeling.

Taskbar Eliminator:
www.windows7download.com/win7-...

Windows Phone icons:
rocketdock.com/addon/icons/346...

**Instructions for Rainmeter Layout**
  1. Download and install Rainmeter at rainmeter.net

  2. Download my .RMSKIN file on the right sidebar.

  3. Install the .RMSKIN file by double-clicking on the file and choosing to Install skin.

  4. Run Rainmeter. Double-click the Rainmeter icon in your taskbar icon tray.

  5. The installed skin should show up in the "Skins" tab.

  6. Open up each skin you want to use for your layout and double-click each "xxx.ini" file to load them onto your desktop.

  7. At this point you want to drag each skin to where you want them to be. Once you've achieved your desired look, using the Rainmeter popup you can untick "Draggable" so they don't accidentally get moved.

  8. Transparency effect: Load up the Manage Rainmeter window again and choose the skin you want to add transparency to. Have "Transparency" set to 30% with "Fade In" for "On Hover" effect.

**Instructions to change Weather, Font, Misc.**

=WEATHER=

Open up the "Manage Rainmeter" window by double-clicking the Rainmeter icon in your taskbar icon tray. Navigate to the Weather skin .ini file and click "Edit". Similarly you can Right-Click the Weather skin on your desktop and click "Edit".
A notepad text file will pop up. Scroll down to where you see "Location=" and "Format=".

CHANGING CITY:
Using USA as an example, you're going to have to change the skin to match your city's weather:

  1. Navigate to Weather.com.

  2. Choose whatever city you live in (example used is San Francisco). DO NOT input a Zip Code or a Postal Code. Just your city name will suffice.

  3. Grab the end code of the link which will be: USCA0987

  4. Paste it as so inside Location=_________

  5. Result: Location=USCA0987
Format for the code is ABCD1234, 4 letters and 4 numbers. No more, no less.

CHANGING MEASUREMENT:

  1. Choose "f" for Fahrenheit, or "m" for Celsius.

  2. Type in whatever format you need inside Format=_

  3. Result: Format=f OR Format=m

=FONT=

  1. To get the correct font, download the BatmanForeverAlternate font pack at www.dafont.com/batman-forever....

  2. Install the font pack by double-clicking to open up the Font Installation preview window, then click "Install" at the top Left hand corner.

=MISC=

Will add more here when you guys need other instructions.

**Instructions for RocketDock**

  1. Download and install RocketDock at rocketdock.com/DOWNLOAD

  2. Download Windows Phone icons with the link given above.

  3. Unrar the icon pack with your preferred program. (Ex. Winrar)

  4. Place icon folder in an easily accessible location on your computer as you will need to navigate to it frequently.

  5. Drag frequently used Program and File Folder Icons onto RocketDock.

  6. Right click each Icon and click "Icon Settings" at the top.

  7. Window will pop up, click the "+" to add your Windows Phone Icons folder.

  8. Find the appropriate Windows Phone Icon to match your Program.

  9. Repeat for each program/folder.

  10. Play around with Zoom, Sizing, Location on screen in RocketDock Settings to achieve desired look.

**To Achieve "Mac Feel"**

  1. Download Taskbar Eliminator using the link above and place in an easily accessible place.

  2. Run the program to "Kill Taskbar".

  3. Press Alt+T to Show/Hide Taskbar.

I have a question, is there any way to turn off the "reflection" on the clock?

Otherwise, I'm really loving the skins, you've done a great job.

Hi there, sorry I don't know a way to turn it off because I'm not the original creator of the skin.

Edit the Clock skin and under "[MeasureHour]" change Format="%I" to Format="%H" for 24 hour format.

I should specify that I was talking about the date, weather, and cpu/ram font on Rainmeter, thanks again.

Also to note, you need to download the font files and then install them by clicking on "BatmanForeveralternate.ttf" and pressing install.

If Rainmeter doesn't read the FontFace=BatmanForeverAlternate , you'll have to copy the BatmanForeverAlternate.ttf file into the your Rainmeter skin folder as a resource.

The font face is called "BatmanForeverAlternate", and the outlined version is called "BatmanForeverOutline". A quick Google search will yield results.

As for the Clock face it's just a simple bolded and enlarged Calibri font that should come with the default fonts in Windows.

What is that theme on RocketDock? My font on the widgets doesn't show up in that font, any ideas? new at this, this post inspired me to try it out, thanks!

There's no theme on RocketDock. It's just Windows Phone Icons I included in my original post! Add icon separators where needed and mess around with transparency/fade-in/bubble effects to create neat looking dock.
Refer to my original post for more instructions.

Once you load up the Weather skin, you're going to have to right click the skin on your desktop>Click "Edit skin".

It will open up a notepad text file.

Assuming you live in USA, you're going to have to change the skin to match your city's weather:
1. Navigate to Weather.com.
2. Choose whatever city you live in (example used is San Francisco)
3. Grab the end code of the link which will be: USCA0987
4. Paste it as so inside Location=_________

Result:
Location=USCA0987

Format for the code is ABCD1234, 4 letters and 4 numbers. No more, no less.

1. Choose "f" for Fahrenheit, or "m" for Celsius.
2. Type in whatever format you need inside Format=__________

Result:
Format=f

Thanks for the quick reply. I must be missing something. I'm in Long Beach, CA, USA and when I input that into weather.com I receive the following link

Am I doing something wrong?

Just input "Long Beach California" into the search bar, not your Zip code.

Here's the code for your city:
USCA0632

You drag all the programs/folders you want into RocketDock. Next you right click each default icon and click on the "Icon Settings". Navigate to wherever you have your Windows Phone Icons installed and pick the appropriate icon.

You can download the .RMSKIN file on the right side bar>>

Navigate to wherever you downloaded the file and install it.
As @walsh99 said, the wallpaper can be found in Summer Sunsets skins folder.
